The National University of Misiones through its faculties and institutes promotes continuing human resources training programmes to carry out I+D+I projects (Investigation + Development + Innovation) with the aim of improving academic excellence of its graduate and post graduate courses and consequently the standard of living of the society.

Programmes and projects are assessed on the basis of their scientific and technological standards and the impact in the improvement of the organization of the region within a rational level of conservation and preservation of the environment.

Investigation, Development and Innovation activities are decentralized and they are performed at the Academic Units and Institutes of the UNAM.

Project credits grant and the administration of funds to finance them is carried out by the Academic Units and Institutes of the UNaM.

The granting of funds for science and technology is carried out by the General Secretariat of Science and Technology of the UNaM through the use of science and technology indicators.
